Sunday past and Sunday next

Chronologically speaking:

Thanks to Andy, Rita, Charlie, Carl and Gary for giving my Old Roads ride its first group outing. We rode a steady, easy ride through the hills of Baltimore and York counties, cutting across back road terrain, exploring century old farms, mill towns, and forest, finishing off with a recovery cookout at Andy and Ritas in Glen Rock. A challenging ride, but a ride that couldn’t be any better. Pics here:
I’ll roll this one again in the cooler weather of fall or early spring.

and then …

CHESAPEAKE BEACH RIDE is this sunday, 7/29

Ride: Baltimore to Chesapeake
Two Starts: 100 miler will start from BWI Dixon Observatory at 8AM and 120 miler will start from Carroll Park at 7AM
Map/Metrics/GPS files: ChesBchRte
Cue Sheet: ChesBeachRouteCueSheet
Do NOT use the RideWithGPS pdf cuesheet- use the one linked above.

This ride can give you whatever you’re looking for- speed on flats, great water views, a great first attempt at a century, a fixed gear/single speed ride. There are a few hills, but not many. There are some beautiful farms, forest and views of the bay.

Email me, if you need me. I’m always open for advice on riding long distance.

Best.          -Bob
